Rapid transients are particularly dangerous in industrial hydro-transport systems, where solid-liquid mixtures transported via long pressure pipelines. A mathematical description of such flow is difficult due to the complexity phenomena and difficulties determining parameters. The main aim study was examine influence simplified mixture density wave celerity on satisfactory reproduction characteristics during transient slurry at low concentrations. paper reports discusses selected aspects experimental numerical analyses a polyethylene pipe. experiments were conducted by using physical model slurry’s transportation pressure. determine slurries. concertation slurries, which used experiments, typical for one biggest networks Poland. comparison effects different descriptions performed. research reported that theoretical formulas not sufficiently accurate obtain compliance between calculations observations.
